2008 Howard Park Scotsdale Cabernet Sauvignon Reviews

...lovely perfume of cassis and blackberry with cigar boxes and cloves and just a whiff of espresso. Medium bodied, elegant and fine in the mouth, it possesses a nice backbone of grainy tannins, high acidity and a long finish.

2008 was a cracking year for cabernet sauvignon in Western Australia. This has complex aromas of blackcurrant, black and blueberries, some eucalypt and a hint of cedar oak. The balance is superb, with blackcurrant, chocolate and savoury flavours combined with lovely fine-grained tannins and tight acid. It's a super wine and good value'.

Fills the mouth but does not tire or overwhelm. It's a beauty. Aniseed, blackcurrant, a little olive and fine spicy oak. Great Southern is such an under-appreciated cabernet sauvignon region. Smooth powder-fine tannins, depth and shape all spot on...this is just so good.
