2008 Howard Park Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon Reviews

Margaret River cabernet is quite definable in its fretwork and this 'Miamup' by Howard Park is no exception. Bramble fruits squished with fine petaled violets in a tinsel-flung-in-all-directions array. Creaky timbery oak is pretty much where the berry stops - it's not backbencher-broodingly deep and rich like the iconic Margs reds but it has enough volume to quell. Give it a few more years and you'll see just how a little taserer it becomes.

Ooh, pretty violets, blackcurrants and green herbal notes. Oak makes its presence known, but feels judicious amongst the bright fruit flavours. Seamless, fine and elegant with filigree tannins and a slaty finish.
