This wine is a fine example of the capacity for the Great Southern region of WA to produce fantastic cabernet sauvignon. The texture of this red makes it outstanding. The extraordinarily fine tannins seem to envelope the wine and play as big a part in the flavours and aromas as they do in the finish.

Full but not overoaked nor overly rich, the Scotsdale Cab is a winner this vintage. The nose?s black cherry, clay and light herb notes get deeper the longer the wine sits. On the palate, smoldering, smoky notes envelope tight red cherry and berry flavours. Seems to have an almost Chianti-like, iron-ore core. Very nice. Probably best drunk after 2009.

This cabernet?s aroma is very enticing, but it is the touch of the tannins that really sets it apart. The wine spent 15 days on its skins post-fermentation ? an extravagance in a busy, space-challenged winery. That time imparted a sophisticated texture and luxurious edge to the tannins.

This wine?s ripe fruit flavours balance the herbal and floral notes, which are more pronounced here than in the Margaret River bottling because the Great Southern region is notably cooler. This is an elegant, layered wine, and another great value!

Fresh cassis leafy/red berry dusty characters, oak integrated. Big flavours, full palate, good depth, soft fruit mid palate, good flavours depth and style. 5 -10 years.

Swish, distinguished, distinctive wine ? all positive connotations? Ripe herbs in among a great swirl of curranty fruit, with hints of rubber and smoke and cedar. An excellent example of Great Southern cabernet. Drink 2008 - 2015.
