Interesting Cote Rotie aromas ? this is more Syrah than Shiraz, with sweet leather notes. The palate is really good, with great depth, balance, grip and persistence.

This is deep and dark smelling: loaded with black fruits, wood spice, molasses and licorice, but there?s tangier currant too. There?s a big hit of ripe currants in the mouth too, really succulent and lush in the middle, with a tangy edge, and building brick dusty tannins. Finishes with wholemeal raisin toast. Will evolve in bottle for five years or so.
