“Ripe, rich berry fruits stand and deliver - vibrant blackberries with a hint of dark chocolate, a leathery complexity and floral aromas set the tune of this wine. The palate shows structured tannins and acidity, with fruit density across the mid palate, damson, blackcurrant and mulberry. You will find plenty of length and personality and there is little doubt that in a couple of years this will be classic Margaret River showing its best”

“This is from Howard Park's Leston vineyard at Margaret River and it demonstrates the enormous potential of this site. Red berry and tobacco create an attractive perfume. The palate is a stylish expression of Margaret River cabernet. The tannins are ripe and quite firm, the 18 months of oak well handled and the fruit still emerges triumphant. Wonderful texture and structure with a sustained finish. Bravo for the screw-cap on this and the entire regional range”

“A truly delicious cabernet - and it's great to see it bottled under screw-cap seal. The blackcurrant and earthy-olive flavour is as pure as the night is dark, the sweet cedary oak noticeable but inherently attractive, and there's a stunningly ripe, juicy, polished presentation to it all that screams class. What's more, the tannins are super-fine, super-ripe and super-yum.”
