1993 Howard Park Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Tasting Notes

Composition: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot
Region: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot
Technical Notes:

Pemberton provides Merlot for first time, marks the early emergence of Pemberton as a quality red producer. Extended skin contact post fermentation 28 days. Maturation in 100% new French oak barriques (Seguin- Moreau) for 24 months.

Tasting Notes:

Brilliant clarity with bright youthful red hues of medium to deep intensity. The nose is very attractive and youthful with primary expression of ripe berry fruits, leafy cool climate cabernet notes and complex forest floor aromas. The palate is rich and full with great mid palate fruit sweetness, the palate is multi layered with secondary maturation characters in harmony with primary fruit expression. The tannins are firm and youthful.
